Come discover the charm of alpacas and the beauty of their fiber at Graystone Ridge Alpacas! We offer a unique experience to explore our farm, meet our lovable alpacas, and dive into the world of alpaca fiber.
Tour + Guided Alpaca Walk – $24 per person ~ Someone in your group must choose this option. ~
Our guided tour is the perfect introduction to the world of alpacas. You’ll learn all about these fascinating animals, their amazing fiber, and the daily care they require. Along the way, you’ll meet our friendly alpacas, goats, and free-range chickens, with the chance to interact with them up close. Feel free to pick up a chicken, they love the attention! You'll also see a live fiber art demonstration and learn what makes alpaca fiber so special. Don’t forget your camera — there are plenty of photo ops! Plus, you’ll have time to feed the animals and feel their soft, luxurious coats. Questions are always welcome, and our onsite Alpaca Store will be open if you want to take home some alpaca-inspired goodies.
We will then take your experience to the next level with a guided walk with the alpacas! After learning about the alpacas and their fiber, you’ll get paired with an alpaca and learn how to lead an alpaca and head out on a relaxing walk with one of our alpacas This will allow you to bond with you new best friend while exploring the farm. This walk is a wonderful way to experience the peaceful nature of alpacas in their natural environment. You’ll walk alongside (and lead) your alpaca, while enjoying alpaca hugs and getting plenty of great photos along the way.
Tour + “Walk Along” – $18 per person
If you’d love to be part of the alpaca walk but don’t want to lead one yourself, the “walk along” option is for you! This experience includes the Barn Tour , plus the chance to walk alongside the alpacas during their guided walk, allowing you to enjoy the experience without directly leading one. It’s a great option for those who want to be close to the alpacas while letting others take the lead. You will not be holding a leash.Use this option for small children.
Important Details:
A minimum age of 9 is required to walk an alpaca.
A minimum of 2 alpacas must go out on the walk to ensure they maintain their herd. If the minimum is not met, a refund will be provided .
Everyone in the barn or on the walk must purchase a ticket.
Children under 2 years of age are free.
Closed-toed shoes are required — sneakers or boots are perfect!
Tours start promptly at the designated times, so please arrive a few minutes early to ensure you’re ready to begin your adventure.
