Alpaca Summer Camp for Kids

Children and the curious, gentle alpaca are a natural fit. Graystone Ridge Alpacas offers a chance to get up close and personal with these beautiful animals. While at the farm, we will show each child how to care for and handle an alpaca. They will also get some experience with the other animals on the farm. Kids will have plenty of hands-on experience when they choose an alpaca to work with for the week and will experience the beauty of alpaca fiber while creating fiber projects to take home. The week is filled with fun, games, crafts, and alpaca snuggles! Don’t worry, we take lots of pictures! The camp is 3 hours a day, rain or shine. This camp is for ages 9-16. The camper must be 9 years old before the beginning of camp.

 Sign Up begins February 1, 2024. I can not register before this date.

 The small print: Sign up for Kids Camp is handled personally by me, not online. You need to email for availability and registration. Once registered, you will have 2 weeks to send a check by mail to secure the spot or it will be released. If this is a problem, please talk to me to make other arrangements. Alpaca Camp costs $180. If you are wondering if your child is a good fit for camp or if they have special needs, please email with questions or concerns before you sign up. Sneakers or boots are required. Our staff is vaccinated and has PA Child Abuse clearance.

Cancellation/Change Policy: We require that all reserved sessions are paid in advance. Any missed days by individual campers during the scheduled session are forfeited. Days missed due to extreme weather will not be refunded.

These camps fill quickly and you can be put on a waitlist if needed. For this reason, I will not refund unless a suitable camper is able to fill the spot. I will make every effort to make this happen but I can’t guarantee.

Customers that book their camper(s) week(s) before March 1, 2024 can cancel/change their bookings up to two weeks after their initial purchase without a fee.  There will be a $25.00 Cancellation/Change fee per camper if changes are made after March 1st.

Beginner Camp 2024

Sign up for Beginner Camp if this is your first camp with us. Kids will learn daily care of the alpacas, respect for the animals, how to lead an alpaca and basic fiber crafting techniques. Fee $180 to be paid upon Registration.

Advanced Camp 2024 - Back to Nature

Campers need to have completed Beginner Camp before attending Advanced camp. We are offering 3 Advanced camps this year each with the overall theme of “Back to Nature”.   Along with our usual games, treks and shenanigans, we will be exploring natural fiber crafts and eco-friendly projects. Each team of 4 will also be building their own unique Fairy Garden in the woods. As usual, we save time for extra alpaca hugs and chicken snuggles. Camp is held Rain or Shine. Camp fee is $180.

 Advanced Camp #1 July 15-19, 2024 9-12pm daily 

 Advanced Camp #2 July 22-26, 2024 9-12pm daily 

 Advanced Camp #3 August 5-9, 2024 9-12pm daily
